Mommy Moments - Last Christmas

For us, we decided to spend 2009 Christmas simply. It was our first month in the new home and so much has been left unpacked at that time. We were so busy at that time that we were not able to go up to Baguio for the yearly family vacation. So come Dec. 24, all the way from Baguio, the whole clan trooped to our house for the family noche buena. We said our prayers, blessed the house a second time and had a wonderful dinner.
Of course, we have to also celebrate Christmas, this is a season that Filipinos will celebrate no matter what.

Beside our gifts. Like a kid, I also don't open my gifts until Christmas but I peek once in a while :)
2009 was Sam's 1st Christmas, you can see his amazement at those lights
I also remember, with most areas of Metro Manila struck by the wrath of Ondoy last year, many families experienced a rather depressing Christmas. Even our company did not hold one Christmas party and instead gave away the budget for these parties to the employees. Bonuses, aside from the calamity benefits, came in early so that employees affected by the typhoon can remedy any damaged made in their homes and other belongings before Christmas time. This year, Filipinos being able to bounce back easily from any hurdle, Christmas is back in it's most joyous spirit ;)

agree w/ u, filipinos were known to bounce back easily from any sad events, and expect that this holidays, be it simple celebration, there'll be lots of merriment in any filipino household...ang tunay nna paskong pinoy.

sana'y maging masaya din ang aming pasko:(((
